News, issues and viewpoints from the U.S.-Mexico border
Hey, are you directing that water east toward Indiana? Crap! I gotta move!
I can just feel the water moving up the street. Waist deep in the big muddy and the big fool says to push on.
Nice to see you back at the computer. Awful interesting photo. Glad you liked the new blog I found through the AZ Republic.
Great photo & Title! You midwesterners are so polite, B.E., always helpful, even giving the poor river water directions when it has lost its way! We've been in drought so long, I've forgotten what that much water looks like, so by all means, please do send some our way. We will make very bad use of it as we always do, filling our reservoirs for the pleasure of jetskiers. aaah, that Diva song quote is one of my favorites (there are many versions, but I'm partial to the one that says "damn fool").
Holy Cow, these comments are all so cool, I feel like bowing down and saying, "I am not worrrrthy."Robert, thanks for the laugh.Diva, awesome reference to Woody...forgive me if I repeat it?DK, good point on "Midwestern polite" of which I have a terminal case (usually!). And soooo true on drought and water (mis)usage: a major memory from a May '07 Vegas visit. Glad you found the photo 'interesting,' eProf. I snap a lot of shots, but I really liked this one. Also: Yes, I've got Alisa bookmarked! In case anyone hasn't read her blog yet, I recommend this entry: http://alisavaldesrodriguez.blogspot.com/2008/06/arizona-republic-profile.htmlAnd I'm putting Dirty Girls on Top at the top of my summer reading list.
