This prayer is foundational.
Forgive me when I stray into cynicism, critical or judgmental thinking--and so often I stray.
Let me be the peace I seek on this earth and in this cosmos.
Be the change.
--------------------------
Lord make me an instrument of your peace,
Where there is hatred let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
And where there is sadness, joy.
O divine master grant that I may
not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love
For it is in giving that we receive-
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
And it's in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen

Real change is going to require all of us to participate.
Thank you for the lovely reminder.
Amen!
What a wonderful world this would be if we all decided to make Peace a priority.
Making peace a priority is far more difficult than nearly anything else. How's that for a wonderful example of unoriginal thinking?
Can we get to peace after letting the architects of madness wander for a few decades first?
Thank you for this wonderful post.
Words are innocent. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little: Say "Peace"
Peace to you and yours. :)
That's lovely - cynicism and passivity are all to easy to fall into. Peace!
Peace and love to you from Ohio :o)
That song gives me goosebumps, but in a good way. As does your Peace Globe.
Peace to you and yours.
The cat blogosphere folks do stand together and help each other when needed - that I guess is our small step towards peace! Thank you for stopping by my blog.
Amen, and amen to that. I struggle with this a lot. I am still dealing with a lot of residual anger and wish to let it go, but frankly, I'm enjoying the blood bath of republican implosion just so much right now. I'll try to be more peaceful in the future. Like Augustine, I plead for it, but not quite yet!
I love your globe and peace post!
Peace to you,
Luxie
Peace to you and yours, today and always.
Peace to you and yours.
Very, very beautiful!
Thanks for stopping by :-)
LOVE & PEACE
Lovely … just beautiful ;--)
Thank you for this post and for visiting all three of my ‘peace posts’ earlier today.
Thich Nhat Hanh teaches that ‘Peace is in every step’ … a choice in every instant no matter what’s happening around or within us. As each of us blogs for peace today, we join our minds and hearts together to create this reality in our world.
Hugs and blessings,
I also was inspired by the beautiful Sarah McLaughlin for my blog blast for Peace....great minds :)
